| This is a brief and very informal overview of my experiences, it is by no means meant as a résumé. If you are a prospective employer, please contact me for a copy of my professional résumé and I will get back to you immediately. | |
| My colleagues and I as taxi/charter and pleasure flight pilots in Denmark the summer of 2006. The picture is taken from a local newspaper article about these strange foreigners that had learned to fly far away, north of the polar circle! | |
| I was lucky enough to get to know a crew of experienced glider pilots while I worked in Denmark, so I was able to get checked out on a TMG and got quite a bit of sailplane experience too. | |
| A picture from the full-motion B737-700/800 simulator at SAS Flight Academy in Oslo. This opportunity to test the 737 was a gift from Norwegian Aviation College to my class there for achieving the best ATPL exam results in the school’s history. Interestingly, the simulator was developed by my former employee CAE. | |
| A typical day at Bardufoss airport in northern Norway, where I attended Norwegian Aviation College and earned my flight certificate. I actually had the check ride for my aerobatics rating later the same day this picture was taken. The arctic weather conditions and mountainous landscapes in Bardufoss might not be the best for flying, but I believe the combination gives the best possible training environment and experience. | |
| Admiring the very first Airbus A380 at the Paris Air Show. It might not be the prettiest thing around, but I find it highly impressive from an engineering point of view. | |
| Getting ready to leave a diving support ship by helicopter in the middle of the North Sea, one of many experiences from while I was working in marine automation. | |
| This is the Queen Mary II cruise liner in the fitting dock at the yard in St. Nazaire, France. I developed a complete software simulation of the machinery on this ship, and I helped build and test the fiber-optics for the integrated automation network. The dimensions of this ship are just unbelievable! | |
| Making a printed circuit board for a project at Buskerud University College while studying for my B. Sc. in electrical engineering. I graduated in 2001, specialising in electronics, automation and dynamic control systems/cybernetics. | |
| Hiking in the mountains, in this case Besseggen in the middle of Norway. My uncle Kjetil to the right in the picture, and the Gjende and Bessvatnet lakes in the background. | |
